Samuel Ferguson

Samuel Leroy Ferguson Jr. was born to the parents of Ellen Jenkins and Samuel Leroy Ferguson Sr. Samuel was born in Queens General Hospital. He was born with a gray patch (wisdom) and his family would call him Roy.
Roy would play school to teach his brothers and sisters to read. Roy would line chairs in order and say (ding ding) and they would sit. Roy loves to teach his family. He would teach them baseball, basketball, and other sports. Sam loved scuba diving and swimming. Sam went to John Jay College where he played basketball and was very athletic. 
Sam graduated from Greater Academy of Brooklyn Seventh Day Adventist School with honors. Then he went to Hunter College and earned his Bachelors Degree for Social Work and Accounting. Education was very important to him. If he got a 95 on a test he would be upset because he wanted an 100. He would ask the teacher how can he get extra credit.
He loved his motorcycles. Sam loved writing poems and saying speeches. At the age 20 Sam had a daughter Paulina Hamilton, he had one grandson Rameik Dirton and two great grandkids Jelani Davies and Tristan Taylor. Sam worked for numerous jobs. He worked at West Point Naval Academy then later worked for Bellevue Hospital as a budget manager. Sam married Pamela McGarrah March 24, 2001. They had two adopted kids Keion Franks and Ka-Ziah Franks, two honorary grandkids Kamoni Franks and Kamiah Franks, eight brothers and sisters Calvin Sands, David Sands, Patricia Ferguson, Theresa Ferguson, Dorothea Ferguson, and predeceased Samuel Leroy Ferguson (father) Ricky Sands (brother) and Gregory Ferguson (brother), Ronald Dirton (son in law), Jeffrey Kyron McGarrah (son in law), Cynthia Sands (sister in law) and he leaves behind a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
