Juanita Voncile Council,

Juanita Voncile Council, daughter of Theo and Katherine Hollins, was born July 1,1948 in Macon, GA. She departed this life quietly on Tuesday March 8,2022 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, NJ.

Her parents migrated to New Jersey from Georgia in the sixties. Juanita received her early education in Neptune, NJ, where she graduated from Neptune High School. On June 28,1975, she married the love of her life and best friend William Edward Council, at the time of his death they had been married for 31 years. From there union they were blessed with two children, Arva Michele and Shantece.

Juanita had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Teacher's Aide in the Asbury Park School System for 17 years. Juanita was a faithful member of Good Hope Baptist Church for many years where her cooking skills were deeply appreciated. She selflessly served in whatever capacity the church may have needed her.

She had a smile that lit up a room and a heart that was generous. Juanita was compassionate person and always willing to help anyone in need. Her home was opened to anyone. She was known for her hospitality. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Theo and Katherine Hollins, husband William Edward Council, and her brother Gregg Hollins.

Juanita's memories will forever be cherished by her two daughters Arva Michele Council and Shantece Council both of Asbury Park, NJ., one brother Theo Hollins Jr. (Angela Key), of North Carolina, two stepsisters Anna Pearl Finn of Keyport, NJ., and Susie Hollins Brown of Dalton, GA, grandchildren Amar'e Hailman, Damien McMillian, Vaneska McMillian, nieces Kayla Hollins of VA., Sierra Hollins, and Sandra Blue Hollins both of Neptune, NJ., godchildren Charles Jr. Session and Sindia Alvarez, as well as a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
